DIY Christmas Project

My mom and I were shopping at Kirklands over the weekend and we came across these cute glitter Christmas present decorations.  We thought they were so pretty and would be perfect to use over the holidays for decorating.  Then we thought...hey we can re-create these ourselves and it would be a fun little project to do together!  So we headed over to Michaels (coupons in hand) and gathered everything we needed to make the decoration.  You will need a foam box, Glitter Blast spray and clear coat spray, ribbon, and whatever fun glittery Christmas decor you can find!  I decided to have a theme of blue and silver and not the traditional red and green.

First spray the box with the glitter spray.

Wait for it to dry and then wrap ribbon around the entire box and glue it down with a hot glue gun.

Next cut a little off the end of the wiring and start placing the different pieces into the top of the box.

And there you have it, a beautiful blue and silver present ready to be displayed as a centerpiece at the table or sit it by the fireplace.
